Following this, the ongoing maintenance is a nominal charge that ensures your software stays compatible with future ACT! releases as well as changes to the Orion system. We value your feedback as a user and encourage recommendations for future enhancements.

There are several steps that need to occur to sucessfully integrate Orion Advisor Services with your current version of ACT!. Before completing the process you should familiarize yourself with each of these steps. Doing so will ensure a seamless conversion in a short amount of time.

Have ACT! 2008 or later? If you have not already purchased ACT! and have questions about the correct version, call 800-ACT or visit www.act.com. You will need to have ACT version 2008 or ACT version 2009 installed prior to adding Affix.

After you click the Purchase Now button, you will be taken to the 2Checkout.com secure website to complete the transaction. Here you will need to enter the number of Affix licenses you wish to purchase. Each license is just $199. You will need to have the same number of user licenses as you have licenses for ACT!.

Once the purchase is completed, you will be taken to the download link where you will be able to download the Affix software. Choose the save option and browse to the desired location where you will be able later locate and install the software. You will not need to install it at this point.

Following the purchase you will receive an email confirmation of the purchase and within the next 24 hours (usually the same day) another email with the licenses you will need for the installation. Keep this information in case you need to reinstall ACT! or this software on a different machine.

You will be emailed a disclosure form that needs to be signed and returned to your relationship manager. You will receive a service account login that will be used in installing the Affix Software.

Next, install the software on each machine you have a licese for. During the initial setup process you will need to map the clients in ACT! with those in the Orion database. You can sort your ACT! contacts before your initial installation to simplify the process. View the demo to see more. Once the software is installed, mapped, and the feed active, your work is finished. You will now have a seamless stream of data that corresonds with the ACT! user on screen. There is very little intervention from this point on. As Orion reconciles data daily, the software will automatically input the new data.

Questions you may askIs there a trial version?: Because of the work involved with mapping and establishing the Orion link, we cannot easily offer a trial version. Please view the demo to see how it will work and what you can expect.
Is this secure?: Yes. The transmission of data from Orion to the ACT! program is secure. The connection and security is the same as if you were using the Advisor Desktop application.

Questions you may askDoes this replace the desktop application?: No. This does not have all the functionality of the desktop application. What this does contain are the most commonly used functions when working with clients such as account values, positions, pricing, and typical reports for a client review.
Do I have to renew after the first year?: No you do not have to renew and the software will not stop functioning at that time. We believe that it is important to maintain your support because ACT! comes out with new versions almost every year. Also, as Orion enhances their services, keeping your support will ensure future compatibility. Also, we will continue to improve the product based upon user input and all future releases will be free to current subscribers.
